Dr. John H. Amick, D.O.
Since 1983, Dr. John Amick has cared for patients in Liberty, MO and the surrounding area with the belief that medical management of diseases and health risk reductions will promote optimal health and prevent the future development of illness. He founded Cobblestone Family Health in 1993 and continues to practice the time-honored tradition of family medical care that includes periodic health-maintenance exams, in-office labs, x-rays, and a staff to coordinate medical referrals and testing.
Dr. Amick is a Liberty High School graduate and received a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from William Jewell College. He attended medical school at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed his internship at the Tulsa Regional Medical Center. His is a member of the Psi Sigma Alpha Scholastic Fraternity for Academic Achievement. He is Board Certified in Family Practice and serves on the medical staffs of Liberty Hospital and North Kansas City Hospital. He is a medical director at three local nursing homes as well as Odyssey Hospice.
Dr. Amick and his wife have called Liberty and the Northland home for over 30 years. They raised their daughters and watched Liberty grow while maintaining its small-town appeal. Similarly his practice has grown staying current with the medical technology while keeping the values of a small family practice.
